The best nights aren't planned three weeks out. They happen because someone nearby is free right now and ready to move. We made the app that turns that impulse into a real plan — fast, in person, tonight.

Two friends, one stubborn idea

Hugo and Jeric, two friends from Switzerland, kept hitting the same wall: cities full of people, group chats full of “we should hang out soon,” and no one actually out tonight.

What 2NIGHT is

2NIGHT is a one-night dating app for iPhone that shows who is out near you tonight, so you can match and meet the same evening instead of chatting for days. It uses a radius around your location and a nightly “Tonight” status that expires at 5 AM; your profile only appears in the feed while you are live, next to other people who are out that night. It is an alternative to Tinder, Bumble, Happn and Pure for people who want a spontaneous same-night date — and it works just as well for a drink with new friends as for a date.

In practice that means: you go live with one line and a category (drinks, food, rooftop, music, culture, sports, games, nightlife, talk, coffee, walk or network), you set how far the night reaches with a slider from 1 km up to 5 km on the free tier, 15 km on Gold or 50 km on Platinum Black, you ping the people you would like to meet, and a mutual ping opens a chat that stays open for 48 hours. What we believe

Tonight, not tomorrow. The best plans are the ones that happen in the next three hours. Every scarcity cue in the app — the count of people out near you, the countdown to 5 AM — points at a real deadline, never an invented one. The longer “stay discoverable” options exist for travellers and quiet cities, and they are kept apart from the nightly choice so the number of people out tonight means what it says.

Honest numbers. The feed header shows the real count returned by the server, even when it is three. The waitlist counter on this site is the real count from our own database. We do not publish invented testimonials and we do not publish prices we cannot guarantee for your storefront; every membership price is shown in the app, by Apple, before anything is charged.

Private by default. Other members see a rounded distance in kilometres, never your coordinates. Nobody at 2NIGHT reads your chats. There is no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app, and we do not sell data. Your “who you want to see” preference is stored only if you give explicit consent, because we treat it as the sensitive data it is. Say what we do not do. 2NIGHT does not run background or identity checks, has no verification badge, and does not scan messages for abuse. Reports are read by a person, usually within 24 hours and always within 72, and every decision can be appealed. We would rather tell you that on every page than let you assume otherwise.

Who builds it

2NIGHT is a two-person project. Hugo writes the app (Swift, on iPhone only) and the backend; Jeric runs the project and shapes the experience. We are based in Switzerland, on the Geneva border, and the legal entity behind the app is listed on the legal notice. There are no investors and no growth team, which is why the honest header count and the absence of trackers are not marketing positions — they are simply how a small team that uses its own product wants it to work.

Where 2NIGHT is available

2NIGHT runs on iPhone and is opening city by city. It is not yet available on the App Store; the waitlist on this site is the way in, and we message you the moment your city goes live. There is no Android version and no web version. The app is for adults 18 and over only.

Not the Italian 2night

An unrelated Italian company also uses the name 2night: it publishes a guide to bars, restaurants and parties in Italian cities at 2night.it. That is not us and we are not affiliated. 2NIGHT at 2night.co is the one-night dating app described on this page.
