What is 2NIGHT?

The one-night dating app for people who decide at 7pm they want to meet someone — tonight, not tomorrow.

Most dating apps schedule a coffee three weeks out. 2NIGHT is built for the hours between now and 2 AM — the window where plans actually happen. Go live, see who's out near you, ping, match and meet.

Built to get you out the door

The night, in detail

2NIGHT is a one-night dating app for iPhone that shows who is out near you tonight, so you can match and meet the same evening instead of chatting for days. It uses a radius around your location and a nightly “Tonight” status that expires at 5 AM; your profile only appears in the feed while you are live, next to other people who are out that night.

Going live is one tap plus an optional line of text. You choose what you are up for — drinks, food, rooftop, music, culture, sports, games, nightlife, talk, coffee, walk or network — and whether you are open to dating, friends, both or networking. The default status ends at the next 5 AM, when the nightly cleanup clears every stale status and the feed resets; the countdown in the app points at that real time. A 24-hour option exists, and a separate “Stay discoverable” control offers 3 days, 1 week or always-on for travellers and quieter cities. Until you set a status you are invisible, and “Hide me” removes you from every feed in one tap.

Your radius

The filter sheet has a max-distance slider that starts at 1 km. How far it reaches depends on your membership: 5 km on the free Silver tier, 15 km on Gold, 50 km on Platinum Black. Gold and Platinum Black also get Travel Mode — set your status in any city before you arrive and the feed re-centres there. Other members only see a rounded distance in kilometres; your coordinates are never shared.

Ping, match, chat — with a deadline

Ping the people you would like to meet (swipe up) or pass (swipe down). A mutual ping is a match and opens a chat that stays open for 48 hours: long enough to pick a bar, short enough not to become a pen-pal. Free members have a nightly allowance of pings; Gold and Platinum Black ping without limits, can undo a pass, and can relaunch an expired chat. A “Likes you” view shows who has pinged you.

Plans and the two-minute call

A Plan is a public invitation — a venue, a time, a line of text — that people nearby can join. It is the lowest-pressure way to go out on 2NIGHT: you are not asking one person for a date, you are telling the neighbourhood where you will be. From any match you can also start a two-minute video or voice call, peer-to-peer between the two phones, free for everyone during launch — a quick, honest check that a person is real before you leave.

Memberships

2NIGHT is free to join and free to meet people. Gold adds unlimited pings, the 15 km radius, a free Boost every week, Travel Mode, two private albums and chat relaunch. Platinum Black adds the 50 km radius, priority placement in the feed, three private albums plus a 50-second video. All billing is by Apple, renews until cancelled, and every price is shown in the app before anything is charged.

What 2NIGHT is not

It is not a venue guide (the unrelated Italian app called 2night is). It does not verify identities or photos, run background checks, or read or scan your chats; reports are reviewed by a person within 24–72 hours and blocks are instant and silent. It has no ads, no analytics SDK and sells no data. It is iPhone only, strictly 18+, and opening city by city.
