2NIGHT
2NIGHT is a one-night dating app for iPhone that shows who is out near you tonight, so you can match and meet the same evening instead of chatting for days. 2NIGHT uses a radius around your location and a nightly “Tonight” status that expires at 5 AM; your profile only appears in the feed while you are live, next to other people who are out that night. It is free to join, has no ads or analytics SDK, does not verify identities, and is opening city by city on iPhone. Its weaknesses are the mirror of its strengths: no Android, no verification badge, and an honest header count that can be low while a city is new.
Tinder
The largest pool anywhere, on every platform, with optional photo and ID verification. Nothing in the product knows whether a match is free tonight; that is negotiated in chat. Best for a wide, unhurried search. Paid tiers are priced dynamically, so check the app rather than any article.
Bumble
Similar to Tinder with more emphasis on profiles and filters, Travel Mode on the paid tier, and — since August 2026 — no rule that women must message first. Like Tinder, it has no notion of tonight.
Happn
Proximity in the past tense: people you physically crossed paths with, logged in the background. Charming, established in Europe, with video certification. Not designed for “who is free right now”, and it requires background location.
Pure
The most radical of the disappearing-content apps: anonymous ads and chats that vanish after 24 hours, ID-backed age verification, screenshot blocking. Most features need a subscription for men. Best when anonymity is the point; less suited to “let's get a drink and see”.
Bounce
The purest same-day mechanic: join a short daily session, say yes to someone who is looking at you at that moment, and the app books the venue. Strict on no-shows. As of this writing it is live in New York with other US cities listed as coming soon; pricing is not published.
MeetTonight
A plan-first app: post a date idea for the next 72 hours or apply to someone else's, with verification and a free tier that allows one post a day. Closest in spirit to 2NIGHT's Plans. We could not verify platforms, radius or paid prices from its public pages.
Thursday
The once-a-week app that proved people wanted scarcity, then closed its app on 10 January 2025 citing declining interest. The brand continues as ticketed Thursday Events; if you liked meeting in person at a fixed time, those events — or a Plan on 2NIGHT — are the successors.

- It's 7 pm, I'm free, I want a drink with someone new tonight: 2NIGHT (if it is open in your city), Bounce (New York), Pure (if anonymity matters more than a face).
